As of May 1st, the Mining Our Past Exhibit is now installed at the WV Mine Wars Museum in Matewan, WV. The exhibit features text explaining Peruvian and West Virginia mining. There is also a table with artifacts from Peru and West Virginia. These include weaving artifacts like spindle whorls, a spinning wheel, and lace. There are also examples of mason jars, crock stone ware, and an antique cane bottom chair.
West Virginia artifacts have been graciously loaned by Wilma Steele and Eric Simon. Peru artifacts are replicas and were produced by the Open Lab at the University of Pittsburgh.
